Class Reunion

I have been to the Great White North of Canada twice this month. The first time was for a high school class reunion (yep, 15 years) and the second was for a family reunion (yep, 33 years). The class reunion was in Clavet, Saskatchewan, a little farming community just outside of Saskatoon (the Paris of the Prairies). It was a great place to grow up as there were about 200k people there. We lived on a small acreage just south of the city in a community called Furdale (now if that doesn't sound small I don't know what does!).

It was great to see ol' high school peeps, including the girl I used to date. I went and hung with her family one evening and we had a great time. It's good to keep bridges in tact, because I never know who will still be my closest friends after 15 years of hardly any contact.

It's all coming together, baby!

It's interesting. I've been in school now for over 10 years in a row (with a few summers off of course) and pretty soon it will come to a close. I'm very excited about all the new chapters I will be opening and so I'm gonna pass through it all.

Yesterday I was reading in my jounal which I haven't done in a long time. I read about a dream I had over a year ago but had completely forgotten (hence the value of keeping a journal). The dream was all about facing fear head-on and driving right through it because on the other side of the fear the realization always comes (at least to me) that my fear was and is paper-thin. Almost non-existent.

Two days into 33

Is it possible that I'm now 33? Well yes, seeing as it was my birthday two days ago. Glory. I'm coo with it but I'm not so sure about next year when I hit 34 - that's mid-thirties and a little bit strange.
